Jock itch and pregnancy

My wife would probably kill me for posting this but I’m a bit more easy going and just want to help... but she’s got this jock itch and it’s only been since she’s prego but it won’t go away. We went to the dr and they needed a prior otherization for the anti fungal cream so the pharmacist just told us to use this over the counter cream. We’ve been using it for a week now but my wife is just miserable still having flare ups.

I posted here cuz mfp is my go to and I figured there’s prob a lot of athletic people here that have dealt with this before.... anything that works? Do we have to go back to the doc?

Is it actually jock itch or a yeast infection or a UTI. Pregnant women are really susceptible to UTIs. Regardless she should go back to the doctor it isn't clearing up. With the various restrictions and concerns associated with pregnancy, the doctor is a safer resource than the internet.

What's funny is instead of calling the doc or pharmacy back you turn to internet strangers.

Why would I joke about this? She was in tears last night and I don’t know what to do

    bwahahhahahah. Poor bugger OP.

Re the jock itch, if it's not yeast and the Dr has cleared it, you may need the antibiotic jock itch cream.

I had a jock itch issue recently and it was a *kitten* to get rid of. I used the normal over the counter cream, I used the freaking tea tree oil spray antil fungal thing, I used the powder thing - NOTHING. I had to go back to Dr and the this antibiotic one and it cleared up in like 3 days.

So, go back to the Dr.

Not sure that the pregnant thing would be a bad thing with this particular cream, but I am not a doctor so I don't know.

People on MFP have always been a bit inexperienced at detecting trolling...
