Treadmill Suggestions

Hello all! I've been looking into buying a treadmill and was wondering if anybody had any experience with one that fits my criteria: foldable and easily moveable, can hold 250lbs, and under $200. I don't need any bells and whistles. Just needs to fit those criteria. Thanks for any suggestions!

It’s going to be quite difficult to find a new model (of any criteria) at that price point.

You may do better looking at Craig’s list or other used goods sales places.

Something to keep in mind-treadmills are heavy and awkward. While many fold up, and a number have wheels and some even have barely clad fitness models presumably moving the treadmill with ease halfway across a football field-you’re not going to want to do that often. Or ever. Folding-sure. Moving? Not unless I have to (any my TM is fairly small and light compared to many).

    Right? Under $200 ?? That's a tough call.

It would need to be used, for sure. Even then, make sure it isn't defective....

Several years ago, I bought a treadmill made by True.

Even back then, their mid-range model was about 2K.

You might look at your area garage and estate sales.

Even then, you probably won't find 'foldable'.

Also they need to be serviced regularly to be remotely accurate.

And this could just be me, but I've always found any fitness equipment I can easily fold and put away usually stays put away.

It's February. Start looking at Craigslist and I'm sure you'll find some very near new ones for sale.

A friend of mine bought one of those off Amazon, and it seemed fine. But she uses it for only 10 minutes a day for walking. As a jogger, I got on it and found the track too narrow (I could actually step on the side while running, which is bad) and also too short (see previous parenthetical comment). So you will want to be clear if you will be using something like that for walking, where you can afford - and I mean in terms of safety - something cheaper, or if you plan to do running, where you will want something sturdier.

I do agree, look for used equipment.
