Iโm pretty sure it burns calories just to drink it.8
-
All calories are nutritional in the sense that they provide energy to fuel your body.
Macro and micro nutrient density is a different story3 -
Red wine looks so much more nutritious than rose don't you think4

All I know is my weight is down the morning after killing a bottle.7

If anyone tells you to drink grape juice or eat blueberries instead, tell them to bugger off.7 -

I love wine.3

Nutritional value? Probably not. Enjoyment value? absolutely! ๐2

Moderate consumption of red wine has health benefits. But regular consumption of alcohol increases breast cancer risks. Red wine has a bunch of health benefits in moderation if thatโs the answer you want to go with.
I loved my wine but completely gave it up after New Yearโs Eve. It becomes a daily habit for me & I like more than one glass at a time.4 -

Alcohol = 7kcal/gram...the forgotten 4th macronutrient. Far from essential
Can not justify in my mind wine (red) is even beneficial consumed as little as 1 glass daily; out of curiosity, did the whole 1 glass of wine a day for cardiovascular health, tracking bloodwork baseline & after experiment (not worth it/even detrimental for myself at least, n=1). Isn't fermented food good for gut health? (j/k)2

and they do say that fermented food is great for healthy gut flora so win/win!1 -
It contains phytonutrients which are potentially cardio-protective
Well... provided you drink 1-2 glasses a day and not 1-2 bottles a day1 -
The recommendation is 1-2 glasses of wine per day. Bear in mind that you wouldn't have drunk (much) for your first 20 years. Therefore you're obliged to eat into the 7-15,000 glass reserve that has been accrued for optimal health during your early years. After all, the doctor is always right!10
