Hey all! I’ve never been on this app or have tried a macro plan. In the beginning the app asked me my goals. I want to gain muscle mass in my lower body and stay lean on my arms. I didn’t know what to choose so I clicked on maintain. Should I change it? It gives me the option of gaining half a lb a week or a whole lb. I’m so lost! I don’t want fat gain, muscle mass!

To gain muscle, you have to gain weight. That is the sad truth for many whose sole goal is bigger muscles and the happy truth for people like me who miss a curvier body they once had. If you're scared of fat gain, you can keep it to .5 lb per week. It's not a race. It's a journey. Just remember, you can always cut slowly after you gain your muscles to make them look more defined, and to get rid of any fat gain you didn't want. More experienced people will be along to elaborate or add anything I've missed, I'm sure.0
