Hi
I’ve lost 53 pounds so far. Have 10-15 to go. My question is I’ve never really paid attention to macros before. How important are they?? I lost the weight without paying attention to them.

I joined a gym about a month ago. I understand about the water weight from exercise but I’m just not loosing anymore.

Could it be my macros? Need help!
Thank you!!

Weight gain/maintenance/loss is all about calories. Macros are for making sure that you get your nutrition (at least enough protein and fat) and adjusting them can help with satiation if you are having a problem with that.

Once you get down to those last few pounds, weight loss slows (because you don't have as much excess fat to burn) and accuracy becomes more important (because you don't have as much leeway in your deficit).

Are you logging your intake? Are you using a food scale to measure solids (and any liquids for which you have a weight) and measuring cups/spoons for liquids?
