Hello all! I need some advice!

Hi all! I need some advice. I had acl , meniscus and knee surgery in July, I can walk fine now but I’m trying to lose weight on the Keto diet , I’ve lost 25 pounds and have 88 left to lose. I know exercise would be beneficial but it’s very difficult with arthritis in my knee to do some exercises. Is there anything that you know of I can do for exercising without involving a lot of movement of my knees? Thank you so very much for your responses and support! 💕

Perhaps seated yoga or other chair exercises.0

Swimming. Water aerobics. Even deep water running. All are very low to no impact/weight bearing, and burn calories well.3

Get a handcycle

Did you have any physical therapy after surgery? Could you get some? That might be a better avenue to explore.1

I hope others can assist with possible work exercise tips. Also - remember that weight loss is almost entirely related to diet. You will be able to meet your goal weight without any significant exercise, if your health requires.1

If you really can "walk fine," I would encourage you to work up to walking 30-60 minutes a day. That will help you increase your daily calorie burn and also maintain your loss once you are at the weight you choose for a goal. I have not had surgery on my knees but deal with osteoarthritis and meniscus issues, and I have found that daily walking really helps with mobility and pain. Getting the right footwear was key as I overpronate which stresses knees and hips.0
