I love to exercise at night. I've always been a night owl, and I hate waking up extra early to work out. But, I have also heard that it's not good to work out so late. Is this true? Does it matter? Also, I haven't really been logging my work outs for the past 2 months, Should I start logging all of them again? Help. Please & Thanks. :)

you shouldnt log them at all.

and it doesnt matter as weight loss is concerned..and there is a big debate about whether or not it affects sleep. its exercising before sleeping. i work third shift, and i workout first thing after work, right before bed and I have no issues with sleep or weight loss.

its all up to how your body does..if you've done fine till now, no sense in changing it up

If it works for you go for it. I prefer working out at night too. Sometimes it makes it harder for me to sleep though.

I worked out at night for about 60min to 90min. I hate doing it in the mornings and during the day. It's also the only time that worked out for me because all my classes laster year took up my time during the day. Same with this year. I don't like waking up early because as a college student I hardly get sleep as is and working out at night is a nice relaxer. I have done both though and haven't noticed a difference. People will say that it is bad for you but I have not suffered any negative effects. If anything it helps me sleep better. I would start logging again just so you know what you're doing. It's always nice to see and if you need to work on anything or not.

If working out at night works for you then do it.
Why shouldnt she be logging them? Isnt that kinda the point of this website? Tracking food and exercise?

I work second shift and I always workout after work. I am NOT a morning person and the thought of waking up early to workout? Well, I have NO desire to do it.

I've lost 60lbs and I've always worked out at night AND I eat at night.

It helps me sleep better, drains me completely into sleeping. And wake up all toned in the morning :)

I workout mostly at night. Its what works for my family, I'm always with my son in the mornings getting him up and dressed and fed. So it's hard to find time in the mornings. When I do get to workout in the am it's usually a video or a very early weeekend run. It's been hot, dont have gym access and I'm a mom, that's why all of my workouts are done at night. If it's really late I try not to push myself too hard, otherwise it's hard to sleep.
