I have been trying to lose weight for about 1 year although I wasn't "big" to start with 73kgs it took 6 months for mr to lose 5 kgs, I am not stuck on 68kgs! Its just ugh so annoying, I really only want to lose a few more but being stuck at the same weight for so long and not getting results makes my motivation slowly drift away =[

Any tips to get the motivation going again?

  • I always check this out when I feel a bit low: http://before-afters.tumblr.com/

But failing that, maybe buy a cool new fitness DVD - or try an exercise you've always wanted to try? (Zumba for me!)

    Answer these for me:
Are you keeping track of your calorie intake?
    Are you drinking enough water?
    How often you workout?

Now if you eating less than your target then add more calories and see where it leads you.Log everything you eat in the dairy, every bite , every sip.If you are already working out 4-5 days per week, then try and increase the intensity to push a little harder and most important drink enough water, make sure your intake is not less than 8-10 glasses per day. Under no given circumstances eat below 1000 calorie mark.
Lastly dont be discouraged, rome wasnt build in a day and we didnt get fat overnight. Its a journey that takes lot of patience and hard work.. Keep doing well success will follow.

  • Thanks guys I will keep these in mind! I will deff make more of an effort to actually log my cals, been a bit useless lately at this
  • If you have plateaued then I would suggest ask yourself what are you eating/doing that's different to what you were doing when you were losing- or what have you increased or added (food group wise) in your diet and start eliminating from there to see if you start losing again.
  • Thats the thing nothing has changed, infact I exercise alot more now
