Does anyone here suffer from any form of psoriasis and do you find that exercise /diet has any kind of effect on clearing / making it worse?
Mine isn't bad at the moment compared to some people's, but it's definitely flaring and it's making me quite stressed. (I know stress makes it worse!)
I am making a big effort to 'clean up' my diet in the hope that helps (I don't eat dairy and haven't for years, I know some people think that can make it worse) but I need to chuck out the diet red bull and the processed crap!
if anyone has found anything that works / makes things worse I'd be grateful to know. I've just started drinking aloe vera gel so hoping that may go some way to help.

I have heard many testimonies (including my mother) if you stop eating gluten, it helps, and processed foods.0

I usually suffer on my hands and fingers when at a peak of unhealthiness!
I know stress from work is the driver for me as I've suffered for a good 20 years and stress often leads me to being a little more careless with health and food.
Saying that I'm pretty good at controlling it these days through my actions rather than relying on the prescribed steroid based creams that only really calm it temporarily.
You'll read this numerous times I'm sure but the only way i can keep it at bay is a diet of regular fresh health fruits and veg, cutting out as much of the processed rubbish as is possible and getting exercise and fresh air. I’ve lost 66lbs in a year with my plan and I’ve never felt better!
You'll see the results pretty quickly both mentally and physically within a matter of weeks but I would look at identifying the stress factor in your life that are causing it.
One thing that i introduced into my diet that i personally feel has made a huge difference are nuts, in particular pistachio, almonds and walnuts. Yeah, i know they contain fat but its natural fat and i don't seem to put weight on eating them, even though the calories are on the high side. My point is that people want to cut fat out of their diets but the body does need it too so get some balance and you'll find skin issues and headache's may not be so prevalent in the future.
Good luck I’m completely empathetic to your issues, it can be so frustrating.0 -

Is gluten what is found in wheat? Gosh I'm not sure I could cut meat, dairy AND gluten out of my diet, but if it will help i will certainly try!0 -

Thanks for your comments. I will try to eat more nuts - I actually adore brazils so I shoudln't find it too hard :-)0 -
I used to have that skin problem. For me, though, it wasn't related to diet. I had a job I hated for 10 years - it stressed me out so much I developed Psoriasis in the first year, but didn't realize that was why. It wasn't until I switched jobs ten years later, that oddly, the Psoriasis just disappeared. The gluten thing might actually help. Gluten intolerance and Psoriasis are both auto-immune conditions; maybe they're related. I know it's hard, but a lot of restaurants actually have gluten free menus now, so it's getting better.0
