water/mineral consumption

Hi Guys,
Can anyone give me advice on water consumption for someone that does a lot of exercise?
Daily I cycle at least 70 mins vigorously at 14-16 miles an hour minimum. This burns 884 calories but I also sweat a decent amount from the effort.
I'm told 8 glasses a day is a decent target to aim for but is this for people that do exercise too? I limit the salt in my diet and I don't think I'll get enough because of the sweating, does anyone have adivce on amounts I should be drinking ML wise?

If you can weigh yourself before and after its best. Then 1 pound lost during workout equals 2 cups water approximately.0

Don't think there's scales here at work, I'll have to take a look later on and get back to you on that one, what about salt and minerals, do I need to eat a bit more salt because I'm sweating?0

If you google how much water should I drink there are some other calculators too. It takes into account weight, climate, workouts.0 -
I know homemade electrolyte drinks which you drink during endurance activities contain just a pinch of salt, so really not much at all.0
