Any Michigan runners?

I am in Northern MI and struggle sometimes to find good races around me. Anyone else in MI that does road/trail races and want to share ideas and good quality races in the state?

    I'm in southern west Michigan in Kalamazoo! :)

    We have a couple of good runs down this way, including a 1/2 marathon and a full marathon, usually around May, hosted by Borgess Hospital.

    Another great run, but difficult to get into because it has a number limitation is the North Country Trail Run. They seriously have a massive waiting list. It has a 13.1 Half, a full marathon, and a 50-mile ultra. It's out of the Manistee National Forest.

    Grand Rapids has a couple of great races. I've not entered any of them yet because they are pretty popular and I hate GR traffic. lol

    I am thinking about doing the Sault Area Chamber Chase 1/2 marathon on Sept 24th. It would be a 3 hour drive but looks like an amazing run over the locks.

    I am trying to figure out a marathon to do next spring/summer though. I will def look into the GR and Kalamazoo options.

    Not sure if you want to travel to Mid Michigan, but I just saw this article this morning. This full/half marathon will be May 20th In Midland.
