Hello, I'm new and started a whle back, but now I have decided to commit and keep at it until the weight comes off. So far, for the past week, I'm doing good at tracking and staying within my limits. At first, I would just log my food and exercise, and not try to stay within my limits. Guess I was just recording what I was naturally eating. Help me out guys as I progress and try to loose this weight for a healthier life style. Thanks.

  • Welcome! It sounds like you have the right idea with tracking everything and staying within your limits. Keep going and just take one day at a time. You will do fine. Feel free to friend me if you like.

Becoming accountable to yourself is something I find every hard to do! But when I got on here and I saw that other people were watching my rate and which I loose the weight it made me accountable to not only myself but to others as well! Good luck! And don't hesitate to reach out and ask for the encouragement.

    Hello, my name is Sarah.
I am new also and it took me quite awhile to get consistent exercising so, I started eliminating things from my diet first fast food, sugars, breads, pastas, soda especially, etc; before you know it I realized i wasn't really missing certain things. Then exercise so one day someone told me it takes 21 days to start a habit...shortly after I found out my boyfriend who's in the military had to leave for a month so i used that time...I gave myself a small goal and when reached - I kept increasing; now I am almost 2 months in.

Sure, I have days when I have to push myself to workout...I just think about my goals health, strength, endurance, weight loss etc. and I love MFP it helps so much I have only been using it almost 2 wks but it is a great addition. I hope this helps a bit, like I said I am new also...feel free to friend.
