What are you trying to achieve? What are you goals?0

I am trying to loose 15 lbs. Do you have a meal plan you use?

I have noticed that it changes slightly according to the seasons. Summer I need less carbs and fat, during winter less protein. Overall carbs about 20 %, fat and protein 40 % each.1

The default settings MFP gives you are fine. If you only have 15lbs to lose, make sure you are set up to lose 0.5 to 1lb per week, not more.3

Trying to lose 20 lbs by the summer
I was doing Keto but thought just watching my calories would be better and easier
This is why now I’m not sure on macros
I usually have 20% carb only

I just use default macros and follow them roughly over a few days more or less.
while loosing fast is fun, it's not healthy. already being in a healthy weight category with so little to lose, 0.5lbs a week is the healthy safe option to not feel depleted and cause harm to your body.
and make sure to eat back exercise calories.1 -
Everyone has different levels based on what works for them. I personally am using the MFP defaults but that doesn't mean it's right for you. Right now my macros are 50% carb, 20% Protein and 30% fat. I will say however that alot of my carb is veggie and fruit not white flour. This is what works for me. See what breakdown works for you. I would increase carbs slowly if I were you to reduce the water gain. If you have been on 20% carb up till now you may see a water weight gain if you increase that too quickly. This is normal and not to be feared. Remember it's only water. My personal goal lately has been to increase protein and reduce carb only because the carbs tend to increase my hunger if they get too high.1

Are you working out? I find I’m more tolerant with carbs if I’ve worked out. If I’m not then I try to keep my carb intake down. Of course we’re talking good carbs. Anything white is a no-no!12

There are no good carbs or bad carbs. PS: cauliflower is white.9

How do you reset what mfp suggested cause I changed it and have no idea what this app suggested for me
Oops🙃0 -
I believe if you go back through setup again it will reset the defaults.1

There isn't a "normal"...MFP's defaults are fine to start with, but macro distribution is pretty individual...like an endurance athlete is going to have a different optimal distribution vs a bodybuilder.1 -

How much weight do you have to lose in total? It's important to manage expectations because if you're not very overweight, 20lbs in 3-4 months may not be feasible.2 -
1200 might be too little it sometimes if not always depends on metabolism. You might have the diet under control but exercise got to be consistent1
