Calories and weight loss

So I'm curious about something. So say my daily calories bank is 1840 and staying below them. Im also exercising 3-5 days a week. My question is if I eat 1 or 2 of 7 days above those calories, say my maintenance weight calories, would I still lose or no? Just wondering.

If you're in a deficit the rest of the week, yes. Keep in mind that eating a big meal right before your weigh-in day, especially if its high in sodium (as many restaurant dishes can be) may cause water retention and give you some disappointment on the scale. It's temporary.5

Yes. Let's say for illustrations sake, you have a 500 calorie deficit goal per day. You eat at your goal for 5 days and at maintence for 2. You have still burned 2500 calories for the week, which is a loss of approximately 3/4 of a pound.3

yes.
look at your weekly goal, not daily.2 -
I have £10 a day for this week to buy lunch but I spend less than that Monday to Friday. If I spend more than £10 on the weekend will I still have any money left? Depends how much you under-spend and overspend, doesn't it?
This is a budget. Exercise nets you an extra few £ but it's still all numbers.5 -
Looking at your calorie allowance as a weekly rather than daily goal helps many people with adherence.
Fitting your diet into your lifestyle rather than having to fit your lifestyle into your diet.
