Hopefully here to stay this time...I ventured off into the world of WW but found it way too restrictive, and expensive, for my taste. That, and I didn't loose on it; I found myself binge eating on zero points food. So here I am, back trying to lose the weight. I did it once before; I don't know what it's so hard this time around to stick to it. Least I'm here and still trying. Least that counts for something.

Hello- Good for you to keep trying that counts for a lot!... This is my first time doing this with a app and on a modified Keto. I am a newbie to all of this, but am gaining some much insight about myself, my body and calories as I have gained and loss both pounds and inches over the years (many years) after lots of life events - having children (now grown), sickness, death of family members and friends, life headaches and heartaches. After a lot of soul searching and researching, I realized WHY I have had such a roller coaster ride. For me, it was about SUGAR and CARB addiction! I craved them all the time and really thought I was eating pretty good healthy.. not really realizing that along I continued to have my weight creep upward not downward!! My Mom also has said I came into the world loving sweets, especially Chocolate and I remember always finding boxes of chocolates hidden in their closet and would sneak a piece or two when young!

I also was also emotional eater and social eater as I love cooking (and sampling) for my family and friends. What I realized is that I can't control what happens around me, to others I care about or life in general BUT I can control how I respond to them and take control of myself and my health so that is why I am doing this and looking at it as a life changer. I am learning how to still enjoy food and cooking but I am be accountable for what I eat, when I eat and how much PLUS I am learning HOW to modify and change those recipes I love to be healthier, lower in calories and also be willing to try new things that are better for me. I am finding that the recipes are not only delicious but also good for me.

Sorry to go on and on about me but my point is try to find out and understand WHY.... Insight is tremendous PLUS timing is everything in life... I have learned this first hand. I wasn't ready mentally, physically or emotionally until now. If you aren't fully willing and in it to make it a doable life change for YOU then it will be up and down... Good luck to you and wishing you much success on your journey

Take care I am rooting for you! Have a good day.

Here is the link to the March 2019 UAC group

    https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/131420-ultimate-accountability-challenge-march-2019

It is a great place to develop self-awareness / accountably habits and shift yourself towards a new sustainable lifestyle. Works no matter what your food plan, exercise strategy, or where you are on your journey (everyone from just starting to nearing goal weight to maintaining for years now)

We have a raft of brand new members also starting this month, a crew that are only on their second or third month with us, and more than enough olde-timers like me who can guide you through your transition period.

    Hope to see you there.
