This is my second day tracking on MFP and I’m really excited to see how this app will work for me. For a while I was using weight watchers which did help for some time, but I found that after a while of WW switching to their new program “free style” I have had a hard time loosing weight it’s also very easy to “cheat” (if that’s the word to use) or not be true to myself when it comes to tracking points especially with all the 0 point foods..
soo with that being said My biggest issue is portion control so I’m hoping that MFP will help me with that AND to lose all the extra weight!!

I'm not really new since I have used the app on my phone for three or four years now. But I haven't been a part of the challenges, or the community, so am new in that sense. I have IBD and foods can sometimes be an issue. I started tracking my foods so I could better monitor what I eat and if I have a stomach issue, I can usually tell what may have triggered it. I also like the calorie counter and at times am surprised at how many calories I ate that day or even how few. They certainly can add up.

I'm a teacher and have bad knees so many exercises are difficult or impossible to do. I have decided to try out the Community and see if I can find a bit of extra motivation here. I am sure I will.

    Welcome to the group :)

For portion control-if you don't own an food scale it's a great help for measuring out accurate portion sizes. I'm about 6 years into maintenance at this point and I still use mine to spot check every day.
