Triathlete looking to shed pounds and track food

I'm new to myfitnesspal and I'm looking for others that are athletes and just looking to shed some extra weight and track their eating/exercise habits. I've learned a whole lot in less than a week! I would exercise and exercise and not shed weight and I couldn't figure out why it was getting worse with time. By looking at the types of foods I'm eating, I'm learning that the biggest obstacle is my mind! I figured as long as I worked out, I could eat whatever I wanted...not so!

    Triathlete here also!! You can exercise all you want but if you don't pay attention to the eating/ nutrition you'll never lose! Good luck!

    Calories burned vs Calories eaten does play a huge role in weight loss. This site will help with that for sure, welcome.

    I was definitely similar to you. Through MFP I've identified a healthier weight that I should be aiming for so that I can perform better in sports. I also eat much better now. It's a very useful tool.
