How come when I exercise and eat healthy. . . .

How come I can lose 2 lbs in a week by just eating healthier --- but when I exercise AND eat healthy I still only lose 2 lbs instead of more?

I have a couple coaches here at work and they have told me that it is possible for me to take in too few calories. If I do that, my body will go into "starvation mode" and try to hold on to my "stored reserves". So I make sure to eat as many calories as my guide tells me to in order for me to lose weight. So far, it has worked well.

Because when you exercise, not only are you loosing fat but you are putting on muscle.

I had about 3 weeks where I had not lost ANYTHING according to the scale. But when my trainer did my measurements she found that despite my lack of weight loss, I had lost 4 inches all over AND dropped 2% body fat. So despite the fact I had not lost weight... obviously I had lost FAT while putting ON muscle. The scale doesn't know the difference. That's why you cannot rely JUST on the scale to measure your progress.

    God bless!
