Hey everyone!
I was wondering if anyone else is doing intermittent fasting? Have you had success? Right now I’m doing 16:8, hoping to start 18:6 soon. I’m looking for people who are also doing it. Please feel free to add me!

    Welcome!
You'll find a lot of the long-timers on the forum have either previously or currently done some form of IF. I did 16:8 through most of my weight loss when I realized I simply wasn't all that hungry in the morning. Now I do get hungry early, so I've switched to a more spread out eating pattern. Finding an eating schedule that makes it easy to stick to your calorie goal is incredibly helpful :drinker:

I do 16:8. Helped increase my focus in the morning. Break fast at 12.00-ish, after-class snack around 5pm dinner at 7~. I do low carbs in general too because I find carbs make me drowsy throughout the day. :#:#

I do OMAD... Well I guess a lazy form of OMAD... I skip breakfast have a protein shake for lunch and then I eat dinner. It's been working great for me so far. In the beginning washroom habits were unpleasant though until my body adapted lol.

    Yes!!
I’ve started but have not weighed myself yet. ( the up downs make me lose hope, so I’m waiting for a month). But I FEEL. Better
    I’m doing 18:6 ( weekends I aim as close as I can) M - F I walk over 10000 steps in the morning
    Hunger pains are calories burning!

Yes, I do 18:6 or 16:8 depending on the day's schedule (plus CICO). I haven't found any increase in weight loss velocity from uncomplicated CICO, but the IF has had a very good psychological impact on me (tangible daily goals, cutting out mindless snacking after eating window, etc).

I've been doing IF over a year. I am at my goal weight, now just trying to get shredded! 😁

@HayyLetsLoseIt, I’m an IF practitioner currently using an average feeding window of 5 hours. Lost 34 lbs. in slightly less than 6 months. About to go OMAD on March 6th for my Lent 2019 and abstain from meat during Lent.

We have an Intermittent Fasting group here at MFP. Why don’t you find it and join us.
