Chicken Breasts and Nutrition Facts

So i've been playing around the food database in here and it seems like there are insane amounts of food that it gets confusing.

Anyone can point me to the most accurate chicken breast nutritional info? (skinless, boneless, boiled)

I've attached a screenshot of a sample chicken breast in the database and i am thoroughly confused.

Put "USDA Chicken breast, raw" in the search. That should bring up the accurate USDA info.

"Confirmed by 296 users" they seem to know something the chicken didn't know....

I think the issue here ist that MFP does not process the "1.0" correctly. I sometimes have the same issue - the "." is not recognized correctly and therefore 1.0 is interpreted as a 10. This would explain the high levels of protein, fat etc. They are calculated for 10x100g not for 1.0x100g

However, I am not sure if even then the data are correct. So I'd also suggest to rely on USDA info.

i simply go off what the package says. if its listed in MFP i have a habit of clicking info to make sure. i'm super OCD about my tracking. it can be confusing sometimes if push comes to shove i'll simply make my own listing.

I finally just entered my own data/chicken entry. It's something I eat a couple times per week so it makes sense to have an entry I trust.

That 1.0 = 4000 calories thing happened on one of the updates and they've not been able to fix it. It happens on a lot of food when choosing the 100g portion size.

Here's a good thread about how to use this site alongside the USDA food entries:

All it takes is one joker to go in and edit those values :) and it wasnt me lol

That isn't what actually happens. If you edit an existing entry, that edit goes into your MY FOODS, but it doesn't change the original entry.
