Go for it! Nobody here knows you and everyone is super supportive.0

Pics & measurements tell more than the scale can say. I've only lost 24 pounds, however I've gone from a borderline size 15 pant & almost XL top to size 7/9 & S/M tops. I stopped trusting the scale a long time ago0

Yes, I take pictures every so many weeks, so that I can see the difference. Because somestimes when we see the transition as it happens, we don't quite see it. And once you do add pictures, remember its not what others think, its what you think and feel. I always look at it like this, just maybe I will inspire someone to get off their butt and do something about there weight. Hope this helps.0

My before pics (don't have after yet haha) are a huge motivation for me. I don't know what it is but I can look at myself in the mirror and convince myself things aren't as bad as they are; but when I look at pictures for some reason it's brutally honest.0

Absolutly! And here's Why
You can SEE a loss better then the scale reflects it sometimes with pictures
see my main pic. Given it was over 60lbs gone by that point but I have 98 to lose, and many tell me I look alot smaller then I weigh now

I agree with this. A picture is much more truthful than the mirror. And, among scales, pictures, measurements, something is always changing, so I do all of them. Good Luck!! Go for the pictures!!! It motivates me to see what others are doing!!0 -

It's a great motivation tool to keep you going. The worst hurdle to get over is seeing the Day 0 pictures but when you start comparing day 0 to Day 30, 0 lbs lost to 30 lbs, etc. then your jaw drops and you keep going.
Tip, wear the same clothes and hold the same pose for each update.0 -
Go for it! I posted a couple after I lost 11 lbs. and was told you could see a difference. I guess we don't see what others do.0

Make sure you take measurements ASAP, if you haven't already. Also, how your clothes fit can show progress. Both of those are much better indicators than the weight on the scale. Pics help too, but measurements and clothing fitting are absolutes. IMO
I didn't post my before pics until I was already at my goal weight and had afters to show. Didn't have the courage to post it before handBut I looked at them quite a bit myself.

I say do it. It has been great for me & I can already tell a difference.
I did a blog post (with pics) exactly 4 weeks after starting MFP if you would like to see it.

I never thought I would let anybody see those except me but I find it less embarrassing because I know I'm not going to look like this much longer & I'm never going back.0
