just don't "finish the day" in the app. I never do. it doesn't give you any anything to complete the diary (i've been on this app for nearly a year this time around and have never completed an entry).

    eat those calories tomorrow.

if you find this is happening regularly then eat foods that are more calorie dense (full fat vs low fat, nuts) so that you can achieve your calorie goal without eating more in quantity. regularly under eating is not good. one day is nto the end of the world.

If you've got calories left over at the end of the day and you're not hungry, you have a few options. My favourite two are:
    1. Save em. Keep those calories aside to be used the next day, or later in the week or on the weekend or whenever you need to have a few extra calories up your sleeve.
    2. Eat cake (or chocolate or ice cream or whatever). Indulge whatever treat food you usually enjoy the most.

And as mentioned above finishing the day doesn't do anything except give you a silly (and inaccurate) 'If every day was like today...' message which is about as useful as a doormat on a submarine.

If this goes on for a few days and you aren't hungry in a deficit, make sure you are weighing your food in grams and logging it accurately. If you aren't weighing your food, you may be eating a lot more calories than you think.

    And welcome to MFP! :)
