Anybody 300 lbs + ??

New to the journey, looking for people 300 lbs and over. Having a hard time finding anyone lol hopefully it's because you all got skinny using MFP lol

I was 325 in summer 2014 (had a come-to-Jesus meeting with my doctor who told me to make some changes or be dead by 60), got down to 180 by end of 2016 and gained back to 255 by the beginning of this year. I'm currently at 240 having made a decision a couple months ago to get serious and do something about my long-term health. I couldn't do much in the way of exercise when I was 300+ other than walking on lunch breaks, but it got easier as the weight came off. Early on I lost quite a bit simply by cutting out whipped cream or other sugar stuff on top of things, no sugar pop/soda, and no ice cream. I started simple and then when saw some progress continued to add to it. Add me as a friend, my meal diary is open and maybe we can hold each other accountable.
We can get what healthy people have if we do what healthy people do!12 -
I was 405 when I started last March. 289 as of this morning. MFP has helped tremendously.17

My weight has yo-yo'd for years, my heaviest being 360lbs. I lost 96lbs with WW then got married and happy...well you know the story from there...lol. Got back up to 324 and am currently at 316. The older you get the harder this weight loss thing is! But I like the statement a few posts back...We can get what healthy people have if we do what healthy people do! My new Mantra! Add me as a friend if you ever need some extra support. Im a great cheerleader!8

Hello - I am at 337 today, I just started getting serious again...last week. So far I have lost 5 pounds and the struggle is real! My whole family is trying to eat healthier and is pitching in with recipes and cooking! It has been awesome so far with all the help and support. My diary is open as well but I am in no way even close to perfect. Add me as a friend, let's keep each other going. I am having a hard time exercising. I have a bad back and issues breathing so it is so difficult for me to do anything . Also embarrassing...so I am trying to come to terms with all that at the same time. My worst time of day is after dinner and before bed...I so want to just eat! I need to find ways to keep myself distracted. Let's all support each other.3

Meeeee. Started MFP at 323 in early Feb. down 12 lbs. now at 311. My diary is open to friends. I even log the bad stuff! Wouldn’t mind adding some more “big” friends. 😁😎3

I started on January 1 2019 at 382 pounds and am down to 347.8 as of this morning. I exercise as I can, which has been horrible this week due to a chest cold. I eat reasonable amounts of what my family eats for dinners and plan my breakfast and lunch around those dinners. Making small meaningful changes helps. And trust me on this one get a food scale and weigh your food, it’s a real eye opener. You can do this!7

I was, not anymore
I started 2018 at 160kg (352lb)
I'm currently sitting at 116kg (255lb)
This was achieved following one and only one rule.
Eat fewer calories than I use.
That's it. No special diet or foods, no gimmicks or gadgets, no restrictions and no deprivation. I just made sure that more often than not at the end of the day I was in a calorie deficit.
To begin with and for the first 20kg (45lb) or so I did this purely by monitoring calorie intake by eating foods I liked. The same foods I had always eaten only making sure that I logged my intake and kept in the calorie deficit.
Then I started to move more. Not exercising or working out, just going for a walk occasionally an making an effort to just be slightly more active in my everyday life (walking meetings at work, taking stairs if I was only going 1 or 2 floors, etc). This added a few extra calories to my day making it slightly easier to maintain the required calorie deficit and got me another 15kg (33lb).
It was at this stage that I decided that I was ready to get fitter so started to workout. I picked a few activities that I really enjoy (cycling, running and swimming) and started to do them a few days a week. The important thing to note is that working out and exercising had remarkable impact on my fitness it made very little (practically nothing) impact on my rate of weight loss. See working out gets you fit but it burns calories and burning calories generally means you'll be hungrier and need to increase your calorie intake a corresponding amount to fuel your new activities. This means your calorie deficit (the thing that causes weight loss) will stay more or less the same.
Which brings me to today. Active and getting fitter. Having lost over 25% of my starting body weight. Over half way to a healthy weight. Growing in confidence and self esteem every day and happier than I can remember being in a long long while and I owe it all to that one rule.6 -
