Net Calories

Good Morning -

I recently got an apple watch, and that is what I have been using as my exercise calories daily.

I set MFP as sedentary because of this, so I don't "double dip".

For instance yesterday I ate 1611 calories - burned 676 calories per my watch (normal daily activities plus an exercise class) - so is my NET CALORIES only 935?!? Should it be at least 1200?!?

I don't know why this is so confusing and hard for me to grasp, but it is......

I'm 50 years old, 5'8" and currently weigh 181

Thank you for your input

how many calories does it say to eat daily (without the exercise)? i.e. what's your daily goal?

you ate 1611. but you burned 676 calories exercising so you only took 935 calories for that entire day (which is below what your body needs to maintain itself so this isn't good).

you are supposed to eat back the exercise calories (if you are concerne dhtey are over estimated then start eating minimum 50% of them and see how that impacts rate of loss and go from there but really you should eat ALL the exercise calories.

MFP gives me 1360 calories...........I'm not sure how accurate the apple watch is?!? I'll probably start to eat back at least 75% to see how that goes. Thanks :)
