How much water is enough?

I generally drink 1-2 cups of water with each meal. I drink at about 2-3 cups of water with each workout. At the end of the day, I am at 8-10 cups of water. Am I drinking enough? I sure feel like I am (I can't stop peeing!) The reason why I ask is because I've seen on the boards bout how some people drink 100 oz or more a day or some people even drink a gallon. How did you guys arrive at the # of ounces of water you should intake daily? I weigh around 120 so is 8-10 cups enough?

The general roule of thumb is 8 cups (64 oz) a day PLUS more if you are working out/sweating. So 10-12 cups sounds reasonable.0

That's about how much I'm drinking, too, MrsPhan. Perhaps a couple glasses more after a big workout.
And damn, I pee all the time. It gets a bit annoying. :laugh:0 -
I just don;t like water at all, i add crystal light to my water, and still 4-cup is the max that i can drink a day..

If those are 20 oz bottles your getting 80oz which is more than enough for the day.0 -
Your 120 lbs so that's plenty of water, if you are going to the bathroom all the time your fine.0

The best indicator is the color of your urine. It should be clear.0

Not clear, pale yellow. Clear means you're drinking too much.0

I drink about 5 glasses of water a day. The rest of my liquids are milk, diet pop or crystal light.0

tmi sorry, but ever since i started drinking a lot of water every day, i wake up in the morning and pee for like 30 straight seconds! lol! i'm just sitting there like cmon, i have things to do today...0
