how many cals do you aim for a day? :)

I aim for 1800 and usually hit right around 2000

    I am for 2050 as recommended by my nutritionist. I normally hit between 1800-2050.

    Between 2200-2500 net calories (I am maintaining 143-145lbs).

    Girl, are you bragging or what?!:tongue: some of us are jumping around, sweating, shredding, running, drinking water and doing hundreds of crunches...just to hold steady at 1300-1400 cal. :

    No no not bragging!! Just have moments where I feel like I eat way too much but I don't feel as though I could eat any less!! And im only talking around total calories. Not work out cals :)

    My mfp says 1600? But the best I've managed to consume in a day was 1200.
    Usually I hit around 700-900...
    And yes I know it's Insanely low and yes I know all about starvation mode. Weight Loss Surgery only lets you fit a certain amount into your stomach at one time. Im having a bad day if I hit 1200.
    Today I hit 1113 but thats because i munched unhealthy at work

    I try to do 3 Solid Meals of a high Fiber and High protein. And if i succeed I would be around 600 calories day.
    but I work in a kitchen and I have to sample stuff all the time to make sure it stays the same quality before it goes out.
    Its very Yummy but Filling,.
    Then sometimes I hit a patch where i eat late at night or i have a binge out,...

    My PT has me on a 1500 cal p/day diet but I usually do 1100-1300, as long as I don't snack heaps. Snacking's the killer

    I eat my BMR now... 1200 was not working for me. I needed more food so my body held on to every cheat day I had. I'm hoping more cals equals better losses.

    MFP has me at 1460 net calories... I usually work out everyday burning about 500 cals so I'm usually consuming between 1800-2000.

    1600 net - so that means around 1600 - 1900 in total most days, up to 2500 or so on long run days.

    I aim 1470 (!) and im doing it fine.. unless someone open my coffin :)
    The only problems are the X calories added by alcohol whenever i hang out with my friends.. not always anyways

    MFP Recomended 1830 Cals -500 for weight loss

    Burn 6 days@wk -250 to 500

    I eat on average 1700 - 1900

    Meals Eaten Daily 6-7

    Average weight loss 1 lb @ 5.9 days

    Total weight loss 8 wks -13.5 lbs Fat / +2.6 lbs muscle

    you probably are like me and have a lot of lean muscle. I am starving myself when I eat less that 1600 my BMR ranges between 1540-1570 and we all know that means that's what I burn without trying....on average my calorie burn at the end of the day is over 2500.

    I aim for 1200 but will allow myself a bit more if I've exercised (which is most days now). I don't eat all my exercise cals back but am a bit more lax on those days.

    yes I do! If I have a very large burn day (like maybe a 4 hour ride, or Tuesdays when I teach spin in the morning and then have 3 -hour dance rehearsal at night), I may log some of the exercise onto the next day, and eat extra on the recovery day. I try to reconcile all calories eaten and burned within 24 hours and not leave more than 100 deficit.
