What about Sick Days?

Okay I’m new around here. MFP puts me at a 1,200 calorie deficit to lose a pound per week I’m 150lb female. I know that 1,200 is low so I eat back my exercise calories and track what I’ve burned throughout the day on my FitBit blaze.
Now today I’ve been poorly so even though ive been lying in bed all day I’m still burning calories according to my Fitbit. I can’t even eat upto 1,200 calories today never mind my added ones for the few steps that I have done. Does this matter?

For a day here and there, no.

You prioritize based on risk. Do what you need to do to get you through a temporary illness, then get back on track.

A few sick days isn't going to matter over the next week, month, year.

Concentrate on keeping hydrated and then start back eating when you feel well again. It won’t hurt for a day or two although you may get headaches or feel lethargic if you’re not eating which can easily add to your sickness symptoms.
    Wishing you well soon!

I think undereating when you are physically sick is something that just naturally happens sometimes. As long as it's just for a day or couple of days it shouldn't have an impact. If it is something long term that that would be something to discuss with your doctor.

Just focus on getting better, then once you are well look at losing weight. No need to snack on junk food though!

Could it be possible I’ve got sick because I’ve just started a new exercise routine?
I went to the gym four days in a row and then they say after I felt poorly.

Germs love gyms... hot and moist environment...mmmm... perfect breeding ground.
Try to be disciplined about cleaning equipment before you use it, allow enough contact time for the cleaning solution to work. Use your own towel, don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth until you’ve finished and thoroughly washed your hands.

Consider if you’d be better running outside or using a turbo trainer at home than doing a spin class in a sweaty studio.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not ‘anti-gym’ and I go regularly myself, but for sure there’s lots of opportunities there for viruses to get spread around.
