Hello!

I’m Hannah, 20 turning 21 soon.

I joined MFP well over a year ago, tried it for a little while but didn’t quite get into it so stopped using it, until now.

I’ve decided to give this another go (as recommended by my personal trainer), hopefully this time I’ll be more into it.

Fingers crossed!

  • There's no magic to calorie counting. What it does is teach you to be honest with yourself about how much you're eating. As long as you log everything accurately and honestly, you'll be able to see what choices you're making that you can do differently. Just start logging. Most people severely underestimate how many calories they eat/drink in a day. That's usually the wake up call on why logging is so important.

    Hi Hannah,
I joined almost a year ago. I’ve logged in every day. But many days I wasn’t honest as to what I ate after dinner like a whole bag of chips which is my weakness. I have lost twelve pounds this past year. Better than nothing. This next year I am committing to stay focused and lose a lot more weight than that.
You can do it. Stay focused. Be honest and log everything you eat. Keep in mind you will greatly benefit if you do! I need to keep reminding myself of that!

I joined mfp 8 years ago and lost about 50 pounds. I was looking and feeling great! Life happened, and here I am again. This time I have 30 to lose. The concept is simple: eat less, move more. Easier said than done, of course. But calorie counting can force you to be honest with what you eat and help prioritize when treats are worth it. You can do this! Good luck!
