I have 2 silly questions. Wondering if anyone can help.

My first question is: If I have a bowl of cereal with a little bit of milk, would I log the milk in? I know some people drink the milk after they eat their cereal, but I don't. I don't like milk, I just pour a little in to get the cereal a little soggy. So I don't know if I would still log the milk into my calories.
My second question is: For anyone that does or has done the Biggest Losers workouts, do you count the last 5 minutes of cooling down into your workout calories?

Maybe count half the milk? Or if you are really curious, measure it before and after you eat. Track what you actually ate.
I always count my warmups and cooldowns in my exercise calories.0 -
I don't like milk either, just put enough in to wet my cereal.. i count half the recorded amount, just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps a little.0

log the milk and count the last 5 minutes (you are still working out)0

If you don't actually like the milk, why not use water instead and have fewer calories to worry about? Just a thought. My grandma used to pour orange juice on her shredded wheat because she liked it more, you can do whatever you enjoy most!0

This is what I do. I'm not a milk fan, I actually find it pretty gross solo but I do like it in my cereal from time to time. It usually comes out to be about half a cup eaten or so.0 -
Find a milk that you do like..? Soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk, etc..0

Log the milk & count the last 5 minutes.0

if you dont like milk, and need something for cereal, why not try almond milk for cereal? has more Calcium and FAr less calories! Just sayin!0

try cold coffee with a little splenda and/or creamer. Much less calories and it tastes pretty good(to me) sometimes I add half almond milk/half water. I drink the leftover stuff, but I don't like really thick milky taste(plus I'm vegan so no dairy here XD )0

Every lit bit counts. Count the milk (I don't drink it either), I use it in my coffee and always count it. I have a heart monitor that also counts calories burned. I add any little bit of extra excercise or strenuous activity that burns extra calories.0

Try a little yogurt on the cereal instead. I count the cooldown too.0

And they aren't silly questoins, I'm new to this whole calorie counting thing but I will even add ketchup0

Measure the milk before you pour it in the bowl and log it! It has calories too!
And I always count the whole work out time.0 -
Yes and yes. Measure everything. Count everything. I start my heart rate monitor as soon as my stretching starts. I turn it off after my last stretch.
PS- No such thing as a silly question. Even if it's "how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood." We're all here to learn.0 -
1. Count everything you eat, so if you have (excuse the metric) 50g of cereal and 50ml of milk, log both, regardless of how you eat it!
2. I record significant warm up/cool down exercise, yes. In generaly, I activate my HRM from the when I start warming up to the when I finish cooling down.0 -
Yep, calories are calories. You could measure the milk you add and then measure the milk left over after, subtract to get an actual number of calories that you ate.0

I love almond milk. Give it a try.0
