PROTEIN

Hey everyone...I just started this a few days ago but today is my first official serious day, now that i have figured out how the site works! I have been noticing that I am going over my protein. I like to keep a low carb low sugar diet since those are my major comfort foods, and once i start i can't stop. But I have found that I go over my protein every day by doing this. Not just with meat but with foods I don't even realize have it. Is this bad? I only have 5grams left after lunch. I would like to eat fish for dinner, but I know I will go over. Just wondering how bad the protein is. (PS it is turkey, chicken or eggs...not fatty meats..LOL)

This site is a little low with protein, you can go up safely by 5% or even 10% and it's fine.0

Yup, I totally agree with SHBoss. MFP DOES tend to go alittle low with their protein allowance, so don't worry about it unless you're LOTS higher.0 -
I upped my daily protein on MFP because it was too low for my needs. I run a lot and try to eat 25g of protein with every meal for at least 75g a day, often I have 100g or more a day and I am just fine. In fact I feel healthier that way and have managed to lose weight easier by eating more protein. So don't be afraid to go over if that works for you. Good luck.0

You will be okay eating .5 to .75 grams of protien for every pound you weigh, .5 to 1 for guys.0
