Am working hard at losing, but come dinner time really feeling deprived! For years, I’ve had a cocktail before dinner and a glass of wine with dinner. Now of course nothing...just can’t afford the calories. Surely others feel as I do....how do you deal with it? Especially as I have a very active social life with being out with friends several nights a week

Dry white wines are usually a decent caloric choice. Or a rosé, either one should come in around 120kcal per glass assuming you're not using a massive glass As far as a cocktail goes, you can still work one in, just have to choose wisely. Vodka and soda with lemon or lime is nice, or gin and diet tonic. You simply approach it the same way you approach your food choices; look for lighter options and swap out the heavier calorie cocktail for the lighter one. Just like with your food, you do have to compromise if you're in a deficit. Either a lighter cocktail and wine, or less food.0

Simple solution - Drop the alcohol completely. It just adds on unnecessary water weight and makes you feel crappy. I stopped having alcohol and noticed a 3-4 pound weight difference.2

One option is to lower your rate of loss which gives you more calories to fit in alcohol. Or exercise more to get more calories.
also finding drinks you enjoy that are lower in calorie (wine spritzer? hard liquor with zero calorie fizzy water/pop?) and rink less in quantity.0 -
Hi everyone, I'm new LOL. I tried to log in one cocktail of vodka and soda, and it came up as 74 carbs! I always thought that a shot of vodka with zero carbs. I'm probably doing something wrong cuz I'm new, but I was just wondering if vodka was zero carbs. Cuz if I have one drink that would blow my whole numbers for the whole entire day LOL0

Vodka is not zero calorie. It may be zero carbs, but the 74 calories you quote is correct.1
