Cushings Disease and weight gain

I have been diagnosed with Cushings Disease and, of course, I have gained over 50 pounds in the last two years. Now that I have had an adrenalectomy, I am hoping to get rid of this extra weight. Does anyone have experience with Cushings and how to shed the pounds after surgery? I sure could use some advise from someone who has been through this.
