Chicken breast and egg whites are good protein sources.0

Do stores card for apples and yogurt these days?
I knew social media made being a teenager tough.
Didn’t know about age/graduation requirements on groceries.
Sorry. Early morning Sarcastic Voice sometimes wins.
What does ‘student in high school’ mean for your dietary needs?
Are you looking for:
-easy prep
-low cost
-portable
-higher protein/fiber/etc?
Google those things.
I used to do a lot of:
Apples (don’t get too banged up in a backpack), tuna packs, string cheese, baby carrots, mini yogurts (bought at school), vegetarian ‘add water’ dried soups (lentil, couscous, etc.)
Pinterest ‘school meal prep’ will have ideas.
If you get good containers, just take food with you. Having ‘home food’ that you’ve pre-portioned is almost always a better option than vending machines or government-issue school pizza.3 -
How old are you? Being in high school and having to buy your own groceries is a little unusual.4

At your age, just stay away from processed (packaged) food and drink (except unsweetened juice) and get plenty of exercise, especially resistance (weights) exercises.
Resistance exercise builds muscle but be sure to eat lots of healthy proteins like eggs, salmon or tuna (canned is fine), greek or SKYR style yogurt, pumpkin seed kernels, beans, almonds, cottage cheese.
Get plenty of fruits and vegetables too. Super foods like Broccoli, Spinach, Kale, Tomatoes, Mushrooms and all berries (except regular strawberries, choose only Organic) can do wonders for your body.
Make sure you stay properly hydrated (at least 64 ounces of fluid a day).19 -
If you are under 18, you should not be using MFP. Talk to your parents and/or pediatrician about your goals for your body.7
