I am on a 1200 cal per day plan. Looking for some successful, healthy and tasty food that works for the entire day.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

We have no idea what foods that you like or what your budget is. Find foods and recipes that you like and make them fit into you allowance.
Are you doing any specific diet?0 -
I eat around that amount and I agree with Annie - it's been trial and error for me to find foods/recipes to keep me interested and motivated. One rule I have that has consistently worked is to not deny any specific foods, even if they've been triggers to bingeing in the past. I remind myself that moderation, not starvation is the key to a sustainable, healthier weight loss. I plan in advance most of my meals and look at the day like a jigsaw puzzle; I try to fit all the pieces (meals) to fit my 1200'ish puzzle (calorie goal.) Hope that makes sense:) And all the best on your journey!7

What is “successful” food? For that matter what is “healthy” food?1

OK, I'll take a stab at it.
Breakfast: one cup of coffee with one teaspoon of sugar and 3 tablespoons of half and half; half a cup of oatmeal (prepped as directed--boiled) with a tablespoon of peanut butter and half a banana.
Lunch: a baked sweet potato (prepped the night before and weighed on food scale) with a cup of boiled green beans topped with salt and pepper; a few squares of fancy chocolate from World Market; a La Croix to drink.
Snack: SkinnyPop popcorn; a babybell cheese; almonds
Dinner: 3 oz of salmon or maybe pulled chicken breast prepared in slow cooker; half a cup of rice; carrots sliced and baked in the oven in olive oil/salt/pepper/cinnamon; one piece of toast using whole wheat sandwich bread (no butter, just garlic sprinkle... sometimes there's room for one tsp of butter)
Snack: strawberries8 -

I would give some suggestions but then I think the bigger question is why are you on only 1200 calories per day? Are you petite? Typically a super low calorie diet always ends in overeating and regaining lost weight. That's been proven by a few studies.
Sustained weight loss requires lifestyle/habit changes, not just reducing the caloric intake. To lose weight and keep it off you have to alter what you eat along with how active you are.
Why? because typically when you reach your target weight on a plain "diet", you go back to old eating habits and eventually the weight returns.
Sustained weight loss is a journey, not a destination.6 -
To fit it i had to cut off 1 full egg and a serving of spinach with my first meal and had to transfer 2 pepperettes and some grapes from my bedtim mean up to the other snack...but this was my yesterday was a weird day but came out at 1150. Im into yogurt with granola bars lately LOL. So clearly can even have snacks as this day i had mostly snacks i just tried to pick good ones. My 7-8 meal i have atleast once a day in some portion changing up the potato/chicken.

What foods do you like to eat? Eat those foods in amounts that will give you 1200 calories (if that is actually realistic for you) per day. It's actually pretty easy. You can also google 1200 calorie diets and come up with hundreds if not thousands of ideas. But ultimately it comes down to just eating the foods you like within those calories.0
-
I am also on 1200 calories and it can be difficult to stay in my calorie range.
I try to fill up on vegetables as much as possible. They are usually low in calories and have fiber which is filling. I keep lots of frozen vegetables on hand at all times.2 -
I stay within that calorie range give or take. Add me..my diary is open😁0

What you used to eat... just less of it, weigh the solids and measure the liquids to ensure it is around 1200 cals.1 -
