Upper Body Routines?

Hi All
I'm after a simple but effective upper body routine that I can work and progress on.
I have a barbell and weight plates at home so barbell workouts would be more useful. I used to have a PT and we used to do the following:
Overhead Press
Bent over Row
Deadlifts
And we used the pull-up and push-down machine which of course I don't have access to anymore as I don't go to the gym.
So I suppose I just need to know what an alternative is to the pull-up/push-down machine is?
Are push-ups an alternative?
Thanks

I already have a lower body routine.0

Why not one program that incorporates both? That would be my best recommendation. Check out that link above1

I do a split routine. Lifting heavy. Full body days not so heavy.
Monday: shoulders, biceps and triceps.
Tuesday: teach tabata class
Wednesday: leg, chest,back and abs
Thursday: spin bike
Friday: run/sprint work-3 miles/abs
Saturday: full body/abs
Sunday: run/sprint work-4 miles/abs/yoga and foam rolling

I don’t believe there is a better substitute for pull ups other then weighted pull ups. If you can’t do them at home can you find a park nearby. If that doesn’t work you could try inverted rows0
