For me it’s more a feeling the song evokes not the literal words. It reminds me of how nurturing and loving she is and that my world would be crushed if anything ever happened to her, but also this era of music reminds me of my mom. Many times I play music that is angry sounding or sad and melancholic but I’m okay in that moment. It’s purely for the sounding and appreciation of the song. Sometimes I hear a song someone posts and a line makes me think of another song. I’m strange like that.
