Does anyone know where the clinic or specialist centre is where people got their body fat measured, their metabalism measured and had a general overall body check. It was on a program called a year to save my life or something similar.

Are you referring to a DEXA scan?1

There are a lot of different places/types of scans. Some are more accurate than others. The two most accurate are generally considered to be the Bod Pod and DEXA scan.0

Thanks do you know of anywhere in uk that does them?0

Have you tried Google?9

Both the bod pod and dexa websites should have a location search for locations that have them5

Local universities often do it for the general public. Check their website for the exercise science department, sports science dept, etc.
Find out what the pre-test requirements are regarding eating, exercise, etc.1 -
Where I live I can get them done at an x-ray/radiology place. While it is done on a dexa machine its called something else (fitscan) because a dexa scan requires a Dr referral here. I get a report with some interpretation but no consultation about what the results mean/action to take.1

In CA there are companies with DEXA scan equipment in mobile vans that go park outside health clubs and anyone can go there and get a scan for about $45. Body Spec and I forget the name of the other one. I second the suggestion to Google and see what might be available for you.2
