This thread is for anyone trying to get rid of those last ten pounds. :-) I've been around 149 for about ten days now. The numbers recently started dropping again so here's hoping they stay dropped.

    I'm on the last 11...can I still join? Currently 158 with a goal of 147 before I re-evaluate.

I've had less than 10 lbs to go for MONTHS now..kind of frustrating, but I'm still happy with my current weight. Maybe my satisfaction with current weight (143) is my problem? I haven't not been below 148 since age 10!!! So I feel like I've done well. But BMI and weight charts (plus the knowledge of my body and still seeing excess flab) indidcate I could lose more. Wii fit recommends 122. HA! I am big boned and muscular with curvy frame (wide hips and larger legs). I'm currently on high end of "healthy range" on BMI charts, but would REALLY like to be in the middle of "healthy". 135 is my goal weight...I hope we can all help each other hit our goals! ;)

    Haha, sure! Close enough. ;-)

mjbrowne: Nothing wrong with being big boned, that just means BMI is more inaccurate. I've been using the Navy Circumference Method to estimate my body fat percentage since my scale won't go down any further than 22% for some reason (it stopped going down about 7 pounds ago). Right now the equation says 16%, and my goal is 14%, so I might just stop around 145 pounds. I'm considering starting ab workouts again so I can aim for actual abs.

oldbushie-Thanks for info on Navy Circumference Method. I hadn't heard of it..but did a little snooping around the threads and am excited to measure using that formula this weekend. Seems like a good solid # to track. I'm a numbers nerd and get really motivated by them..weight tends to fluctuate too much and I get all upset about a 1-2 lbs; which is why I've switched to body fat% (I use one of those hand held "scanners"..which I'm not real sure how accurate they are either. As long as the # decreases, I'm happy).

You could also try The Hacker's Diet to keep track of overall trend instead of being distracted by fluctuations. It's one of the few things that have kept me sane over the past 6 months.

Hopefully I will be able to join you in September. I currently have 20 lbs to go and I am taking part in a 10 lb challenge for August so if all goes well I will only have 10 lbs to go by Sept!

While the weight is slow to come off at this point, my waist is definitely shrinking! I'm down to size 30 pants!!!! I just bought 4 new pairs of pants and they came in the mail today, perfect fit. :)
