Weight gain

Hi. I'm new to mfp. Can anyone help. I have been counting calories for just over a week. Keeping at or below the number recommended and have gained 5lb!!!! What am I doing wrong? I haven't managed to do a huge amount of exercise but have deff eaten less!

What are your stats? And how much calories do you consume a day?0

I'm 12st and consuming about 1200 cals. Not a huge amount of exercise tho but fewer cals than before.
