Job #1 pros- convenient to where i live (7minute drive), easy job, raise every 3 months, off every other Sunday
Cons- starting pay $8, only up to 25 hours a week but some weeks they have extra hours available
Job #2 pros- pay $12.60, off three days, 40 hours a week
Cons- my whole shift i sit down, it's a 28 minute drive, i work every Sunday , shifts are 10 hours, point system as far as reliability
-Both jobs start at 10 a. m.
-On job #2 i get off at 9 pm every shift, on job #1 i get off at 9 sometimes and sometimes earlier
Job #1 I'm a cashier, merchandiser and stocker
Job#2 i do customer service (con because they told me i would have to deal with customers who will curse me out and occasionally call me out of my name)

Jobs 1 because customer service is a part of my job and I want to cry daily 😂 people are ridiculous!!0

You'd be making $1200 more a month at job no. 2.
Customers will have an axe to grind with the company's policies, not you. If it's customer service over the phone then they can't even see what you look like and you can do goofy stuff like play the air violin while they rant.2 -
I think the biggest factor here is your lifestyle and finances. If you're living with family and still in the party phase of life then by all means, #1 sounds less stressful and more convenient. If you are supporting yourself then #2 seems like the obvious choice.2

I live with my parents because I’m in school but I’m not in the party stage majority of my money goes towards school0 -

The quote got messed up, sorry...you said
"I live with my parents because I’m in school but I’m not in the party stage majority of my money goes towards school"
Gotcha! I didn't think you were in school due to considering the 40 hour week position (I did that for a time and agree with others, BRUTAL even if just a part-time college student).
Anyway, sorry if suggesting "party phase" seemed like a bad thing...I mainly just meant, not having to pay for everything for yourself phase, I guess might be a better way to put it (i.e., utilities, rent, etc).
Call center work seems like one of the worst - I would not do that if I were you. JMHO. The first job sounds so much better but I would probably still look around and try to find something that pays at least somewhat better because that's a very low wage, anywhere in the U.S. (assuming you are in U.S.)...and I'm in an area with unusually low cost of living and still...that's almost unheard of even for part-time retail. Unless it's your first job ever, I bet you could do better...raises every 3 months sound promising but I'd wanna know what to expect with that. 20 cent raises? $1 raise?
Hope you find the job that will be the best fit for you! And good on you for paying for school stuff.0 -

I do this, and I do graveyard shifts. Things gt pretty freaky when you operate on 30+ hours without sleep. How long did u do it for?1 -
