Hi, I am Kayla and I desperately need support. I am 28 years old, standing at 5'4 and at 193 pounds. I am at my heaviest and need to turn the scale into motivation.
For the past 3 days I have been on the treadmill for an hours (at least 3 miles) and I have take one Tae-Craio class, which left my back soak and wet. When I finally stepped on the scale today, I got discouraged. It makes me want to quit! I feel like I will be fat forever.

Are you weighing yourself daily? If so, that is going to drive you crazy because your body will fluctuate as the week goes. I got like that one time, and then I made sure that I was varying my calories for the day. I sometimes would go over by just a little, or under. Also, if you eat smaller meals ALL day your metabolism stays working. Just keep working, because you might just be at a plateau and once you break through it, you'll see results!0

Hey there! I am only 22 but as of May 14th this year I was exactly where you are now! I am 5'4" and was 195lbs on my birthday and cried my eyes out! I promptly got on this site and have been steadily losing since! You CAN and WILL do this! Add me as a friend and I'll try to keep you motivated!0

Thank you so much. I just needed someone to say something. I feel like everyone I know can afford those fancy surgeries to help them with their weight loss, but I am going it the "natural" way. I think I have been doing well on my eating.
At first, I was not going to weigh myself (when I first started changing my diet) but then I thought I need to know of I actually loose the weight. You are right, I can not weigh myself all the time. I am going to drive myself crazy! Is there anyway other people can look at our food diary and give feedback? am sorry, very new to this!0 -
I know how you feel  This happened to me just today! But don't quit!!! We can do this!! Just keep on moving because your heart is thanking you for the work out you are giving it! And you are building endurance!
Take care! And add me as a friend if you'd like!0 -
Hi Kayla, It took you 28 years to progressively gain this weight.....howz about giving it 1 full year to take off? It won't happen over night, but DON'T GIVE UP! Be persistent and you will succeed. Exercise is very important, but it's also about what you put in your body and how much. Use this site, it will help you. I lost 10 pounds by using it, but am stuck on a bit of a plateau for the last 3 weeks. BUT I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!!! You can add me as a friend if you want.0

slow and steady wins the race.
take a look at fat to fit radio - really good information there. You need to eat a bit less, but lose the weight slowly. In a world where we want to see everything right away, this is hard. but your success rate will be 100% if you lose it at a 1/2 pound a week.
don't give up, but remember that you didn't gain all the weight overnight, so it won't be gone overnight0
