Hola, I'm fixing my metabolism one meal at a time

Hola to group. For the first time in my life I have to lose a large amount of weight and it's a lot harder than I imagined. After a twin pregnancy where I was completely bed ridden my metabolism is so slow I think it's actually going backwards! All the things that I knew to do to loose a few pounds don't work anymore.
So I realized I need to fix my metabolism, no getting around that. A friend of mine used the 6-week Body Makeover and lost all her unwanted weight (about 50 lbs) and kept it off. So that is what I'm doing. I bought my kit on Ebay at a good price.
It has taken me about 3 weeks to finally get the recipes/ combination of foods and quantities correct. The weight is finally budging! I've lost 5 lbs in a week. Since the eating plan cuts out all sugar and almost all salt the part of the initial weight loss is water. This eating plan is about what a diabetic person would do, eating every 2.5 - 3 hrs and combining proteins with carbs with vegetable and fruit servings at particular times. The plan helps you find the workaround not using salt and sugar so that your meals actually taste good (or good enough to eat).
I'm really encouraged and MyFitnessPal is really helping track my eating schedule.
I hope that in about 8 more weeks I will have lost all my excess weight and get into my fabulous clothes! YAY!!!
