My legs hurt

I was following this workout.
37 minute cardio workout by fitnessblender once everyday and since it has Jacks exercises after each set my legs starts to hurt a lot. I weigh about 90 kgs and i'm at the point that I can't do the workout for now since my legs hurt each time I try to jump. Are there any exercises that I could use so I could still work on losing weight without having to use my legs? I need to lose fat on my belly and upper body so could anyone give me an idea on how to work on that? I hate skipping workout days because of this. I'd appreciate the ideas and suggestions you can give me. Cheers

Second what Maxematics said. I also get shin pain when I do jumping jacks, or any rapid jumping-style exercise. I do the low impact leg point, as the purpose is to raise your heart rate and not build muscle anywhere.

You can find exercises to improve your shin strength, to avoid injury. I've just started so I can't vouch for any particular move yet =/

besides the low impact exercises mention above. I would also like to state that you cannot spot reduce, you lose fat everywhere, mainly based on genetics. You can also do more strength training as well to help preserve muscle mass during a deficit.

Thanks for the response. I just did an upper body strength workout today with dumbbells and then I saw this. Will have another go at the fitnessblender workout tomorrow but with less jumping this time!

And I will also be looking for ways to improve my leg strength. As for now my knees still hurt and getting out of bed is still difficult but manageable most of the time. Thank you so much

37 min cardio workout every single day may be a bit much depending on your current conditioning . Did you work up to that sort of volume slowly over time?

Fitness Blender is usually pretty good at showing low impact modifications. For jumping jacks, you can take out the jumping part and just step one foot out at a time, alternating sides each time. Here's a video that shows an example of it:

I love that name Power Jack! I have to do these and this name feels much better than my "Wimpy Jack" :p

Also pay attention to having decent footwear, especially if you are a large person, or if you have flat feet or both.
