I'm thinking I have an addiction problem.....to my scale. I'm thinking it might be a good idea to have my hubby hide it.

Why? I weigh myself everyday, twice a day. Once in the morning and once in the evening for kicks. I like to see the fluctuations. That way on my weigh in day i don't freak out if I gained 1lb water retention or whatever. It has it's benefits but you need to be prepared to see fluctuations and not get upset about them =)

Scales do suck, and we're all a slave to them!!! I could never hide mine. I weigh myself every day just to make sure I'm staying on track (even with the fluctuations). What's driving me more insane right now is.... I just bought a new scale, and it weighs me in at ~1.5 to 2lbs higher than my old scale. I can't seem to bite the bullet and just make the switch from the old to the new. So now... I weigh myself on both scales daily!!!! :-)

I weigh everyday and record my weight in an Excel worksheet. I have a graph showing my weight loss projection, my upper limit and my lower limit. As long as I stay within those limits, I don't beat myself up. It just motivates me to do better from day to day. It also allows me a little leeway... And those days that I put on 5+ lbs of water weight... yea, I chalk that up to Mother Nature and wait a week till it all passes. : ) Good luck!
