Scared to lose weight.

I’m scared to continue loosing weight because of my fear of loose skin. I have thin skin on my belly and stretch marks because of my pregnancy. I gained weight cause of sugar addiction and i heard consuming a ton of sugar permentally damages your skin and collagen. Does anyone have any tricks to avoid lose skin. I have fixed my caloric deficit to a more healthy weight loss plan. 1.5 pounds per week. (i was losing like 2.3 a week but then got scared of loose skin because of that as well) need to lose weight just so scared for loose skin. Please help! Thank you!

It will take some time (months to a couple of years) after weight loss for true loose skin to shrink, but for someone as young as you are, it's nearly certain to happen. (Mine mostly shrank, and I'm 63.)

You have many decades of happy life ahead of you, if you're lucky. Loose skin isn't the worst thing that can happen, and it's likely temporary.

Take a deep breath, relax, and be patient. Things will be fine.

Sugar does not damage your skin.

If you really want to lose weight, you should be aiming for no more than 0.5 lb/week weight loss. However, since you are already in your optimal BMI range, I highly recommend recomp instead. Weight loss at your stats will happen very slowly, require meticulous logging, and is not guaranteed to give you the appearance you want.
