I wonder if I'm trying to do to much at one time. I started this program on Feb. 8, started watching what I eat, trying to lose wieght, exercise 2 to 3 times a day and quit smoking all at the same time. I have been a little cabby and wondering if I should just do one at a time or if I can keep it going. What you all think, quit smoking then diet or all at once.
Peace and Cheese.

I know when I quit smoking several years ago I wanted to eat more! Always looking for somethiing to munch on. so try to keep it very healthy if you fiind that the same is true for you. Now of course, after 3 years of having NOT smoked, i was stupid and picked it back up again. Now I will get to try and quit all over again. YUCK. Good luck to you!0

Congrats on your voyage to a new healthy you. It is a big step to quit smoking. I would say that you are probably doing to much. I would focus on not smoking, and continue to exercise. Then slowly work on counting calories, ect. It sounds like you are maybe exercising to much. I don't smoke and that many workouts in a day in itself would wear me out. Good luck. :flowerforyou:0

NO!! DON'T STOP! i quit smoking 2 days after i found out i was pregnant with our first child. i took this as my ticket to food-central! can you say 100 lb weight gain??? 11 days is more than half way through breaking the addiction to nicotine. breaking the addiction to the ritual is something else entirely and i really believe working out can replace that ritual. YOU CAN DO THIS! screw worrying about being crabby! everyone's crabby at some point! this is your life and you can do it!0

Don't give up!
Don't second guess yourself. You knew yourself and your abilities when you decided to do this all at once...SO JUST DO IT!
11 days is well on your way...don't give up now!0 -
I have always been told that you should replace smoking with something healthy like a short walk or a sip of water. When I was pregnant with child #2 and I quit smoking, I became an internet junky. Everytime I needed to smoke, I hopped online. lol. Walking would have definitely been better. Do you feel like you are struggling more with the hand to mouth habit or the nicotine addiction? Mine was always more hand to mouth. And if you pray, pray for strength and peace. It will come. Good luck to you.
BTW, I don't know if this is true or not but I always heard that cigarettes cause you to lose water so when you stop smoking, you might temporarily gain back some water weight. If anyone knows whether or not this is true, feel free to jump in.0 -
I say do whatever you can handle. Just don't set yourself up for failure. If you can quit smoking then eating healthy is a BREEZE trust me, I did the same thing. I actually enjoy eating right now. I learned that if I do everything in moderation I can have almost anything I want. Instead of a whole box of reese's pieces or maybe a whole box and three or four other things to go with it like two pieces of butter loaded cinnamon toast.............. now I just have a couple of reeses pieces and leave it at that for the day. So just try to understand that if you set yourself up for success you will be successful. If you plan to have things areound to snack on and suck on that are healthy and will help you kick the cig's then you are planning for success!
Best Wishes!
P.S. I've never been happier than I am now with myself for quitting and now losing weight!!! I feel like a million bucks!!!0 -

I wonder you said you exercise 2-3 times a day..maybe cut it down to one session for a little longer period of time0 -
