Oh how we forget...

My main work out lately has consisted of walking, running and I did zumba once last week. Well, last night there was a severe storm warning right at the time I wanted to go for my C25K training. I opted for safety and stayed in doing my Wii Gold's Gym boxing. I am sore in places I haven't been sore in for quite a while. I forgot how switching it up can really work different areas and muscles. I will not make it a priority to do my Wii Gold's Gym boxing workout at least once a week.

    Yep! :-)

I noticed this as well when I used to play hockey, soccer and run a few years back.

When hockey season was over, I would run and play soccer to keep myself fit for the coming season... Once the winter came... Getting back on the ice made me tired after only a few minutes! hehe

I had this same experience just last week. I had been running/jogging about 3-4 times a week and thought that was good, then also due to a storm, I stayed inside and did the P90X plyometrics workout- which I hadn't done in about a month, since I was jogging. OMG, I couldn't sit on the toilet or do stairs comfortably for a week. So I will now be doing plyo at least once a week. I didn't know that jogging didn't strengthen the legs as much as good ole squats and lunges.

PS- I hate squats and lunges

Squats and lunges are not my favorite either, but boy oh boy they seem to do the trick.

My motto from now on is "mix it up".
