Mid life changes

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Ireland. I’m 44 years old next month and I think I’ve finally accepted that it’s time to make some midlife weight changes.
After giving up smoking a decade ago I never addressed my 24 lb weight gain !!
I’ve decided now is as good a time as any. Life is short.
My current stats are ;

44 years old (F)
5 ft 4.5 inches
11st 7.5 lb

Goal weight
9 st 7 lbs.
Calories per day 1200

I would love some buddies if anyone wants to join me 😊

    Hi, and greetings from Wales!!!
    I'm pretty much in the same boat as yourself, switched from smoking to vaping around 7 years ago, recently gave that up too, now find myself expanding at an alarming rate, despite regular cycling.

    currently;
    48 years old
    5ft 8 inches
    12 st 4 lbs

    Goal weight
    11 st 0 lbs
    1500 calories per day

    Lucky you living in Wales :-) Great to have dropped a bad habit but not so great to have gained the lbs 🤦🏼‍♀️ First proper day on MFP today and I’m wobbling. Not used to reining myself in when it comes to food.I’m hoping tomorrow will be a bit easier. Desperate to give up the junk food but not sure if it’s sustainable...
