Wanting to lose some bf %

I've got a goal to decrease my body fat by 2%, though I have never properly attempted that before; at the moment, my bf is at around 24.5-9% (can't remember precisely) and my goal is 22.0-5%.
What steps should I take?
How long should this take me if I do it all correctly?
