Low haemoglobin and running

Hi all I read something saying that if you have low haemoglobin levels it can make running more challenging as you have less oxygen in your blood. Does anyone have any experience of running and being anaemic/with low hb?

I had low ferritin and running just felt a lot more difficult. I had no energy and had a hard time breathing so I was really slow. Every run was hard. Once I started supplementing my iron, it got better. I assume hemoglobin is similar?

Did your Dr. run a full blood panel? Didn't they diagnosis you as anemic? The tired feeling is no joke.

Yep I am anaemic but they can’t figure out why... I have decided to start back on iron supplements today to see if it helps... they didn’t do anything last time... but I want to feel good exercising so will revisit anything if it helps @mabearof6
